How nakshatra reading works

The method used across this cluster is the classical one. A planet delivers its results through the lord of the nakshatra it occupies. Moon in Ashwini is not simply Moon in Aries, it is the Moon working through Ketu, because Ketu rules Ashwini. The sign describes the terrain, the nakshatra lord describes the manager the planet reports to. When the sign lord and the nakshatra lord pull in different directions, the person feels that tension as a real feature of their life, and the page for that placement names it.

Three things follow from this. First, the nakshatra layer explains why textbook sign descriptions fit some people and miss others. Which nakshatra placement matters most?

The Moon’s, by a distance. It is the janma nakshatra, it sets the dasha sequence and the naming convention, and classical texts read the whole chart from it as a second lagna. The lagna’s own nakshatra and the nakshatra of the lagna lord come next.

Is the nakshatra more important than the sign?

Neither replaces the other. The sign is the terrain, the nakshatra is the management. A strong sign placement in a hostile nakshatra underdelivers, a modest sign placement in a friendly nakshatra outperforms. The pages read both layers together.
