Identify 2-5-11 activation: When does the woman’s Dasha period activate 2nd, 5th, and 11th houses together? These are the most favorable windows.

Check the man’s chart: His Dasha should also support progeny, ideally with 5th house activation.

Look for overlapping favorable periods: When both partners have 2-5-11 or strong 5th house activation simultaneously, IVF attempts are most supported.

Specific Procedure Timing

IVF involves multiple steps, each with timing considerations:

Egg retrieval: The woman’s chart is primary. Moon’s position matters for bodily procedures. Avoid Moon afflicted by malefics on retrieval day.

Sperm collection: The man’s chart matters. His Dasha should support the 5th house.

Embryo transfer: The most critical timing point. Both charts should be favorable. The woman’s Dasha and transits are especially important since she carries the pregnancy.

Two-week wait and implantation: The period after transfer benefits from continued favorable conditions in the woman’s chart.

Moon Considerations

The Moon governs fertility, conception, and bodily fluids:

Waxing Moon: Generally favorable for conception-related procedures. The growing Moon supports growth and development.

Moon in fertile signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces are traditionally considered fertile signs. Moon in these signs during embryo transfer may be favorable.

Moon unafflicted: Avoid days when Moon is conjunct or aspected by Mars, Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu. These can indicate bodily stress.

Moon in 5th house natal position: If Moon transits your natal 5th house, conception-related activities may be supported.

Jupiter’s Role

Jupiter is the natural significator of children and expansion:

Jupiter Dasha or Jupiter Bhukti: Favorable for progeny-related matters.

Jupiter transiting 5th house: Supports conception during that period.

Jupiter aspecting 5th house: Provides protective, expansive energy to progeny matters.

If your IVF cycle falls during Jupiter’s favorable influence, outcomes may be better supported.

Avoiding Challenging Periods

Certain periods are less favorable for IVF:

Dasha periods signifying 4th (12th from 5th), 6th, 8th, 12th without 5th support.

Eclipse periods, especially if the eclipse affects the 5th house.

Saturn transiting the 5th house without Jupiter’s protective aspect.

Rahu-Ketu axis transiting the 1st-7th (affecting both partners) or 5th-11th (affecting progeny houses).

Repeated IVF Cycles
