Most birth times on record in India are wrong by a little, and some are wrong by a lot. Hospital registers round to the nearest quarter hour or half hour. Family memory says “early morning” or “just after lunch.” Older records sometimes carry a time written down days later. If your certificate says exactly 12:00 or exactly 6:30, there is a fair chance someone rounded it.
A small error in birth time is not a small error in the chart. A shift of even fifteen or twenty minutes can move planets across house boundaries, change your dasha balance by months, and in borderline cases change the ascendant itself. This is usually the real reason predictions from different astrologers never agree with each other, and why some never come true at all. Each astrologer read a chart, but nobody checked whether it was your chart.
Birth time rectification fixes this. It takes your uncertain birth window and your dated life events, and narrows the window down to a single verified time.
What Rectification Is, and What It Is Not
Rectification is a process of elimination. Within your birth window there are many candidate times, and each candidate produces a slightly different chart with a different ascendant degree and a different dasha timeline. Your real life has already tested those charts for you. A marriage, a job change, a childbirth, a parent’s passing, each of these happened on a known date, and that date either falls in a period that supports the event or it does not. Candidate times whose dasha timelines contradict your lived events get struck off, one by one, until a single time survives every test.
The honest boundary of the work is this: rectification narrows an uncertain window, it cannot conjure a time out of nothing. If you have a rough window of one to three hours and a handful of dated events, the method works well. If you have no idea of the time at all, not even morning or evening, a natal chart cannot be built with confidence, and the right tool for your questions is horary analysis, which needs no birth time.
The Method I Use
My rectification work rests on dated life events matched against dasha boundaries. The Vimshottari dasha sequence is calculated from the Moon’s exact position at birth, and the Moon moves fast enough that even a modest time error shifts every dasha and antardasha boundary in your life by weeks or months. When your major events are placed against candidate timelines, wrong times contradict the record quickly. The ascendant provides the second axis of testing, since each candidate lagna places the event-ruling houses differently.
I work through this the classical Parashari way, the way I was trained under my Guru, Pt. Banshidhar Shastri, and the way I have practiced for over twenty-three years. Every candidate chart is computed in Jagannatha Hora with Lahiri ayanamsa, the same standard used across this site. I do not certify a time until it survives every dated event you give me, and if two candidate times both survive, I will tell you that openly rather than pick one and pretend to certainty.
If you enjoy the technical side and want to attempt this yourself first, I have published the full self-service material: a complete DIY rectification guide for Jagannatha Hora, a KP-method DIY guide using ruling planets and life events, and a practical BTR workshop. Those guides are genuinely enough for a patient student. This service exists for people who want the work done carefully by an experienced hand, or who tried the guides and got stuck between two candidate times.
What You Provide
Four things, sent over WhatsApp:
Your approximate birth window. Even a wide window works. “Between 5 and 7 in the morning” is workable. “Sometime on that Tuesday” usually is not, though write to me anyway and I will tell you honestly what is possible.
Place of birth. City or town is enough.
Four to six major dated life events. Marriage or engagement, birth of a child, a significant job change or first job, a major relocation, a surgery or serious health episode, the passing of a parent. Month and year are the minimum, exact dates are better. Events spread across different phases of life test the timeline far better than events bunched into one period.
Your availability for follow-up questions. Rectification involves back and forth. I will come back to you with specific questions, sometimes asking you to date one more event, sometimes asking which of two descriptions of a period fits your memory better. The faster these answers come, the faster the work finishes.
What You Receive
At the end of the process you receive your verified ascendant with its degree, your certified birth time, your corrected kundali computed in Jagannatha Hora with Lahiri ayanamsa, and a short written note explaining what changed against the chart you were using before, which house placements moved, and how your dasha dates shifted. That note matters, because it tells you which of your past readings were built on the wrong chart.

Get your birth time rectified properly
Send me your approximate birth window and four to six dated life events on WhatsApp. I will confirm whether rectification is feasible in your case before you pay anything, then work through candidate charts with you over the next few days until a single time survives every test.
Process, Time, and Fee
The service runs entirely on WhatsApp, in English, Hindi, or Punjabi. Send me your birth window and your dated events first. I will look at them and confirm whether rectification is feasible in your case before you pay anything. If the window is too wide or the events too few for a confident result, I will say so plainly instead of taking the work.
The fee is Rs 5100, paid once. It is higher than my standard consultation fee for a straightforward reason: a consultation is a single prepared call of thirty to forty-five minutes, while rectification is an investigation that runs across multiple sittings over several days, with candidate charts built, tested, and eliminated between our exchanges. Typical turnaround is three to four days, depending mostly on how quickly your event dates and answers come back. Reasonable follow-up questions after delivery carry no extra charge.
Within India, payment is by UPI or Google Pay. Outside India, the equivalent amount is accepted through PayPal, Wise, or Remitly.
Many people pair rectification with a full reading, since the corrected chart naturally raises the question of what it actually says. If that is your intention, mention it when you write to me and we will schedule the consultation on the corrected chart once the rectification is complete.
Where Rectification Reaches Its Limits
I would rather you know these before writing to me than discover them midway.
A window wider than about three hours can still be rectified, but it takes more events and more sittings, and the confidence of the final time depends on how well your events discriminate between candidates. Fewer than four dated events rarely gives a decisive result. Events clustered in a single decade test only one stretch of the timeline and leave the rest unverified. And in a minority of charts, two candidate times pass every available test, in which case I will give you both, explain what future event would separate them, and certify nothing prematurely.
None of this is a reason to avoid the work. It is the reason the feasibility check happens before payment. Most cases with a window of one to two hours and five solid dated events resolve cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions
My birth certificate says exactly 12:00 noon. Is that a problem?
Round times like 12:00, 6:30, or 4:00 are the classic signature of a rounded record. Treat a round time as the centre of a window of roughly plus or minus fifteen to thirty minutes and rectify within it. These are among the most common and most successful rectification cases.
I have no birth time at all. Can you still help?
If there is genuinely no window, not even a part of the day from family memory, a natal chart cannot be certified honestly. Your questions can still be answered through horary analysis, which works from the moment of the question rather than the moment of birth. Write to me and we will take that route instead.
How many life events do you need?
Four is the working minimum, five or six is comfortable. Quality matters as much as quantity. One precisely dated marriage and one precisely dated childbirth test the timeline better than six vaguely remembered job changes.
What counts as a major event?
Marriage or engagement, birth of each child, first job and significant job changes, major relocations especially abroad, surgeries or serious health episodes, the passing of a parent, purchase of a home. Small events like a promotion within the same role are weaker tests, though they can help as tiebreakers.
How precise is the certified time?
Precise enough that the ascendant degree, all house placements, and all dasha boundaries are stable, which is what predictions actually depend on. In most cases that means a certified time within a few minutes. Claiming precision to the exact second would be dishonest, and no method that relies on remembered event dates can truthfully offer it.
Free online rectification tools gave me three different answers. Why?
Automated tools mostly fit the time to one or two events using fixed formulas, and different tools weight different factors, so they disagree. Rectification is investigative work. It needs a human hand to weigh which of your events are strong tests, to ask the follow-up question that separates two surviving candidates, and to recognise when the data cannot support a confident answer. That judgment is what you are paying for.
Do you use the KP method or the classical Vedic method?
My service work is classical Parashari, testing dated events against Vimshottari dasha boundaries and the candidate ascendant. The KP ruling-planets approach is a separate technique, and I have published a full guide to the ruling planets rectification method for readers who want to study it. I keep the two systems separate rather than blending them in one analysis.
My ascendant changes within my birth window. Does that make rectification harder?
It makes it more decisive. Two different ascendants produce two visibly different life patterns, so your events usually eliminate one of them quickly. Borderline-lagna cases are among the most satisfying to resolve, because the difference between the two charts is large and your life has clearly lived only one of them.
How is this different from a normal consultation?
A consultation reads a chart and answers your questions on a prepared voice call. Rectification establishes which chart is yours in the first place. If your birth time is uncertain, rectification logically comes first, since a reading on the wrong chart is wasted money no matter who does it.
What happens if no confident result is possible in my case?
Then I tell you that at the feasibility stage, before you have paid. If it emerges mid-process that two candidates cannot be separated with the events available, you receive both candidate times, the reasoning, and the specific future event that will settle the question, and we finish the certification then at no additional fee.
